"Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not."
~ ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
♡ SIZE INFO.: This ring is adjustable with care, but please let me know your size so I can size it for you in advance. Fits any size up to US Size 11. For small sizes, I can either overlap the back of the ring base or resize the ring base in my studio, so that there is no overlap.
♡ NOT YOUR SIZE OR COLOR? Send me a message and I'll make a ring to your specs. I have this ring base in antique brass, as well as many different styles of watch movements, other ring bases and Swarovski crystals. The last two photos show the Swarovski crystal color chart and an example of a ring with optional crystals added. If you would like Swarovski Crystals added, leave me a note with your order of the color or 2 colors that you would like. (If 2 colors, let me know which one you would like as the larger crystal.)

For this Steampunk ring, I used a luxury, vintage silver, Wittnauer Swiss, 17 Ruby jeweled, mechanical watch movement.
A LITTLE HISTORY OF WITTNAUER (1890 - Present)
"The Wittnauer Watch Company began as a small family business, catering to the ever growing world of both scientific and private exploration, which gained them a reputation for use by those who needed reliability: navigators, explorers, and astronomers.
Wittnauer watches would be worn by such notable explorers as Roald Amundsen and Richard E. Byrd, as well as aviators from Amelia Earhart to Wiley Post.
Because of all this attention to navigation wristwatches and devices, Clarence D. Chamberlin and Charles A. Levine used Wittnauer chronometers for their 1927 trans-Atlantic flight (they flew two weeks after Lindbergh) and Charles Collyer and John Henry Mears used two Wittnauers in 1928 when they famously raced the moon around the earth—they did it in 24 days, beating the moon by 72 hours.
More aviators, Howard Hughes among them, wore Wittnauers in the 1930s. Westinghouse bought Longines-Wittnauer in 1969, in 1994 Longines was sold to Omega owner SMH, and in 2001 Wittnauer was sold again to Bulova."
The vintage watch movement has been securely mounted to an antiqued silver plated over brass filigree ring that is extremely ornate in a Victorian style and very fashionable, yet very comfortable to wear! The ring bases that I use for all of my rings are of high quality (American made and fashioned from vintage patterns).
